Live-In Support Options

Live-In Support Options

We pride ourselves on offering flexible care support options and have summarised their key features below.

Companionship Care

The ideal option for those who wish to have a measure of support with everyday tasks, as well as the benefit of a ‘friendly someone’ around to natter with and share in your hobbies and interest. Companionship care offers you the support you need to continue to do the things you enjoy and has the added benefit of providing you and your loved ones the peace of mind that you are not alone.

More Companionship Care benefits:

  • Support with everyday tasks such as light housework & shopping
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Support with meal preparation
  • Support with light personal tasks
  • Prompting medication and supporting as directed by the Client
  • Support with personal administration
  • Support with personal arrangements, transport & entertaining
  • Support with your hobbies and interests
  • Company whilst going out and to appointments
  • Help with pets

Personal Care

Understandably, for many people, accepting that support with personal hygiene tasks is needed can feel like a huge loss of independence, which is why we work sensitively and closely with you to establish how you would like to be supported with no compromise to your dignity, respect, privacy or comfort. Be assured that you are not alone and that the majority of our Clients benefit from our Personal Care support option.

Benefits include:

  • All aspects of Companionship Care
  • Full administration of medication
  • Full support to wash, shower or bathe
  • Full support with oral hygiene
  • Personal grooming including shaving
  • Support with toilet hygiene and catheters
  • Incontinence care
  • Support with mobility

Specialist Care Plan

We recognise that many individuals have more complex support needs and this can be due to long term conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, other physical disabilities or even advanced Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Specialist care support builds on the support offered with personal care to include:

  • Bowel management
  • Administration of medication via percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG)
  • Administration of nutrition & fluids via PEG
  • Advanced support with mobility and transfers using specialist equipment
  • Stoma care

End of Life Care

There is an increasing need for the provision of sensitive and compassionate end of life care which offers you the option of remaining in the familiarity and comfort of your home, surrounded by your memories and keepsakes. Working closely with you, your loved ones, your GP and other healthcare professionals, we will agree on and implement a holistic, advanced care plan which centres around your wishes, care and support needs and comfort.

Respite (Short-Term) Care

Not everyone needs full time care and we welcome the opportunity to provide you with any respite assistance you may need. Respite care is also the increasingly preferred option for informal carers, family members and loved ones who will be temporarily unavailable and do not wish to disrupt a settled home environment. Our respite care support includes companionship care, personal care and end of life care. It is not uncommon for us to be asked to provide respite care for the following reasons:

  • Being discharged from hospital
  • Post-operative support at home
  • Unexpected illness, or a short-term deterioration in health due to sickness or infection
  • To provide a confidence boost after illness or even a bad fall
  • Family members and loved ones who act as informal carers needing extra support, time to rest or take a holiday
  • Private carers requiring cover due to holiday or sickness

We are happy to provide respite care for one off assignments, or to schedule in respite care on a repeat basis.
